July 25, 2000. Vladimir Vysotsky /1938-1980/, an actor, poet and bard, died 20 years ago. To live without blending with the epoch, rejecting the rules of the game -- Vysotsky thus shared the destiny of many bright, talented, tragic, free and the most out-of-place people. He prophesied it himself, writing: "I will not die of life of torments, I'd rather rise by premature death".
