Rachel Unthank and the Winterset are an English folk quartet from Northumbria, UK. They released their debut album, Cruel Sister, in 2005, which was subsequently awarded Folk Album of the Year by Mojo magazine. Their 2007 follow-up album, The Bairns, was nominated for the Best Album award at the BBC Folk Awards 2008, it was also nominated for the 2008 Mercury Music Prize. They are Rachel Unthank (voice, cello and feet), Becky Unthank (voice and feet), Stef Conner (piano and voice) and Niopha Keegan (fiddle and voice);
